Sandy Hook Promise: Helping Keep Our School Safe

At Inspire Academy, the safety and well-being of our students, educators, and staff is our highest priority. That’s why we proudly support and participate in the Sandy Hook Promise initiative—an evidence-informed program designed to prevent violence before it happens.

One of the key components is the Say Something Anonymous Reporting System (SS-ARS), which allows students, families, and staff to confidentially report concerns about safety or mental health—anytime, from anywhere.

Whether it's about someone struggling with mental health, showing warning signs of potential violence, or needing help, your voice can make a difference—and you can remain completely anonymous.

✅ How the Anonymous Reporting System Works:

  1. Submit a tip online or through the Say Something app or hotline.

  2. A trained Crisis Counselor will review the information and begin a secure, anonymous chat with you.

  3. You'll be able to answer any follow-up questions to help provide the full picture.

  4. The Crisis Counselor will let you know when they have all the information they need.

  5. If you later learn more, you can reopen the chat to share updates—your identity will still remain protected.

All tips are taken seriously and acted upon with care. Crisis Counselors may notify school officials, mental health teams, or law enforcement, depending on the nature of the concern.

🌱 Why It Matters

The Sandy Hook Promise program helps build a safer school culture, prevent violence, and ensure that students who are struggling get the help they need—before it’s too late. Empowering students to speak up and look out for one another creates a stronger, more connected school community.

🔒 Anonymous. Safe. Actionable.
Together, we can protect and support one another.
